Event Name: Bolton Parish Church

Event Description: With the Northern Section, you have the opportunity to celebrate her Majesties Diamond Jubilee twice on successive days; firstly in Bolton in the pleasant grounds of the Cathedral-like Parish Church and next day at Chatsworth. Very popular with all who attended in previous years the Bolton event will be part of the church's Diamond Jubilee celebrations. There is ample, safe parking to display our cars in the centre of a busy university town. As usual the church will be open all day with various concerts. Light refreshments available. We hope to again have the privilege of morning coffee in the Mayor’s Parlour and see a little more of the magnificent Town Hall.

Event Description: Four Sections, Northern, North East, Yorkshire and East Midlands have joined together to celebrate Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee by holding a very special picnic at Chatsworth House in Derbyshire. We have been allocated a prime space for 150 cars and aim to put on a special display of cars representing each year of her reign. The 150 spaces will be allocated on a first booked and paid for basis but also bearing in mind achieving the cars required for the special display.

It has steep hills in places and some of the pavements are uneven but the taxi service is excellent, assistance is available for the less able and there are many sites and views to enjoy. It is a popular resort for those seeking a quieter more gentile holiday and was a firm favourite with Sir Winston Churchill.

It has many varied attractions including vintage and classic cars and motorcycles, car clubs, motorcycle clubs, military vehicle displays. There is a large aoromodeller and model flying contingent; model boat and model railway enthusiasts, a car boot sale, fairground, childrens shows and entertainers, live music and many trade stalls. It is a weekend event with on-site camping and a bar.
